St. Joseph Plantation

St. Joseph Plantation is located near Vacherie LA and was built in 1830 by a wealthy French doctor. The antebellum plantation features a 10 room main house, slave cabins and school, detached kitchen and other building on 2,800 acres of rich farmland.

The plantation has recently undergone a major renovation and now opens it's doors to tours. St. Joeseph was recently featured in the movie thriller "Skeleton Key" featuring Kate Hudson.
