San Francisco and Oak Alley Plantation Tour - Path of the Slave Revolt

Relax on a magical narrated journey through scenic Louisiana cypress swamps and wetlands.   Enjoy  tales of  antebellum  New Orleans and plantation life as you travel the Old River Road enroute to a morning mansion tour of the show place of the Old South, beautiful Oak Alley plantation.

Afterwards, follow the narrated path of the historic 1811 Slave Revolt, the largest  revolt in American history, to romantic San Francisco mansion and plantation. This colorfully decorated steamboat house style mansion is the only authentically restored plantation home on the Old River Road. Its wonderful color reflects the trends of 19th century Barvaria and taste of its Creole mistress.

The mansion tour features antiques, architecture, the plantation's slave quarters and the plantation's Civil War occupation by Union troops.. The driving tour centers on slavery, the 1811 Slave Revolt, the slave markets, the Code Noir,voodoo and the Quadroon balls of old New Orleans.

This is a morning tour. Hotel Pick Up is between 7:45 and 8 AM depending on your hotel location. The tour leaves  at 8:00 a.m. and returns about 2 p.m.
