St. Joseph & Oak Alley Plantation Tour - Tales of Old River Road

Tour a family owned private working plantation and view several slave cabins as ancient St. Joseph plantation opens its doors for tours for the first time in two centuries. But  first, relax and enjoy a narration by a professional historian as you travel through scenic swamps and wetlands. Hear tales of old New Orleans.and of plantation life, storys and events along Old River Road thru the centurys  Formally Josephine, the working plantations tour centers on family history, historical events and plantation life along the Mississippi river since antebellum times.

Afterward, view Felicite, St Joseph, Colombia, Evergreen and Laura plantations as you travel to the showplace of the Old South, magestic Oak Alley plantation. Tour its antebellum mansion with plantation tour guides. Sip mint juleps, take pictures or visit the gift shop or cafe.'  We then take you to the levee of the Mississippi river and  Oak Alley for a brief photo op. We're on our way back to New Orleans through Manchac swamp for a 2:00PM return.
